Interesting book for sure. It gives a glimpse of the weirdness which professional travellers encounter. Told in a unique perspective of a group of (mostly) normal outsiders looking into a somewhat deliverance-esque group of local culture, it captures the strangeness which often accompanies isolation in a transient enough manner to feel like you genuinely escaped something strange, as well as menacing.For those who enjoy road life, or stories about road life and all the strangeness it often entails, this is a fast-paced and thoroughly enjoyable book.

Like Fear and Loathing in Florida through the eyes of a touring musician. A somewhat Faulkner-like setting with circus carnival shenanigans intact. Whiskey is involved. For fans of music who like a shot of surrealism with their road-trip novels. Three thumbs up.
I love this book so much I've just ordered my 5th copy to pass along to another friend. Can't wait for the sequel, hopefully something based in the fictional town of Rock Vegas!
